TC 5.10 is concerned with the ventilation and makeup (replacement) air systems in kitchens and dining facilities and facilitate various activites through several subcommittees.

The Committee sponsors Research Projects, which are a way to further knowledge in our field.

We provide valuable assistance in the writing and revision of Chapter 31 in the Applications Handbook for which we are responsible.

We often sponsor Forums, Seminars, and Symposiums at the Society National Meetings. This is a good opportunity to let others know what TC 5.10 is doing.

Finally, we are also involved with the writing and revision of standards including the International Mechanical Code, and NFPA-96. In particular, TC 5.10 has had a long history of involvement in Standard 154, the kitchen ventilation standard.

The subcommittee meetings are where the action is, so don't miss them. They are a good way for TC members to become more closely involved with the activities of the committee.
